Just stunning! I think sapphires are my favorite stones, even though green is my favorite color. Do you know of books that give provenance of specific pieces of Romanov jewelry?
Can anyone tell me which tiara Princess Alexandra is wearing in the photo where you were discussing the copy of the Queen Victoria Golden jubilee necklace? Red dress, looking away to the her right... thanks!
I think it's nice for Christmas, and I was so glad to see the Queen out and about after being sick. At her age, I worry whenever I hear she's not feeling well.
Queen Rania
I have to say (after reading the whole thread) that I LOVE the Arabic Scroll tiara of Queen Rania! It may be my all time fave of all tiaras!
Anyone know these brooches?
I can't really see them very well. It's from the Queen's visit to The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment on Nov 27.
Jewels Queen's Brooches / Nov 27 visit to The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment - brooches?
And might I add that I love her in purple!
The Queen's Diamonds book
I splurged and bought it - let me know if anyone wants something looked up! It is the most beautiful book I've ever bought! Thick thick pages, amazing photos, and the best...it smells like a book store!!:flowers:
I have to say, Camilla looks fabulous in the Vladimir and Cambridge necklace! I think Kate should have the permanent loan of the Lover's Knot!
LOVE this!! I can't wait until HRH Kate starts wearing tiaras often!
I'm sorry if I confused you - I thought the John of Gaunt Brooch was called the Lancaster Brooch - but I've corrected it on my board. I had never seen the Mythical Sea Creature Brooch which I now think you are saying is really the Fishmongers Guild Badge. Is that correct?
That's why I love...
No, I meant the one she was wearing with a Kelly green suit - here is a link:

I think the discussion ran along the lines of a feathers and a lion?
sea creature brooch
I think we've decided the fish link I posted wasn't the sea creature. on a different note, does anyone have a good photo of the "foot long brooch"?
