I've been putting off commenting until I could come to terms with her passing but that hasn't quite happened yet. It's such a strange feeling- yes, she was 96 years old and people her age pass on all the time but somehow it all just feels wrong.
She was always there. For the vast majority of...
I thought so too. I know she is an elderly lady but IMO she has always given the impression (in public at least) of being an energetic person despite her years. But yesterday...it was just so sad to see her as you say looking so small, fragile & vulnerable.
I'm sure the weeks of his final...
Very sad but not entirely unexpected news especially after his long hospitalization. I'm glad he was able to pass what turned out to be his final days at home with the Queen.
Despite being born a Prince, his was not the easiest life. May he rest in peace now and forever.
I feel so badly for...
I agree 100% with your comments about how Harry & Megan should have gone about achieving the privacy they claim to want so much. IMO there is absolutely no reason for all this public drama except that they want it to maximize attention on their "new brand" & as leverage to force the Queen's hand...
This sums up this entire debacle for me. Andrew never should have done the interview. He should have kept his mouth shut and opened it only to speak to the authorities investigating Epstein's crimes if they asked for or compelled his testimony.
I feel badly for his parents and his children...
However the decision was reached (my money is on the Queen persuading him) IMO it was the right one. While Prince Philip is extraordinarily healthy for a 97 year old nobody at that age has the reflexes needed to drive a vehicle safely.
Well his guardian angel certainly got a workout today! HRH is very very fortunate not to be dead or seriously injured. I think the next few days will tell the tale, undoubtedly the adrenaline was flowing but once that wears off he'll be feeling some after effects. Hopefully they won't be too...
She was there! She looked frail but I loved her common sense choice of shoes. And apparently I wasn't the only one!

I've always thought Lady Louise was the spitting image of her grandmother especially when she was a small child. And her uncle the Duke of York looks more & more like his mother as he gets older.
My sister and I are doing what we did for William & Kate's wedding- get up at the crack of dawn, drive to our mom's house, watch the wedding and then go out for a late breakfast. It's a fun way for us to spend some time together.
I'm very surprised to see the Duchess of Kent on this list for April as I know she is retired from royal duty. What did she do to get a mention in the CC?
I think it is way too early for both mother and baby to be going home. I thought the same for the two older children. Childbirth is hard on both no matter how much help is available
Now comes the tough part- rehabilitation, which requires persistence and patience. I remember when I was rehabbing my shoulder after rotator cuff surgery there were sessions when I felt I made great strides and then there were many times when I didn't make any progress at all that I could see &...
Well that is wonderful news that the surgery was a success! And I don't think the doctors will have any problem getting him to work on his rehabilitation. If anything they'll have to slow him down a bit!
