I agree about Saab and that is probably one of the reasons why I like the dress but not on her. I would have preferred something more unique for her. I do not like how her pins keep coming out of her hair.

Agree. The tiara needed to be placed closer. On the other hand I am not sure about the dress. I can not decide if the embroidery is too much/old or is just pretty.

Reminds me of the steel cut tiara. In style at least. I think it might look better with a different hairstyle.

Thanks for all the pics. Maybe it is just me but with all of the pieces Sophie has gotten so far it seems like she is a favorite of the queen. I like this rendition with the aquamarines more than the Queen's. Wonder if it is hers or a loaner.

I have read elsewhere that some think that Sophie was wearing the strathmore rose tiara with the sapphire option. Does anybody know?

thanks for the pictures of Margaret. She always looked at ease in all of her royal attire. As for Sarah she has found a way to modernize the jewelry and bring it into a more normal world.

That was my thought as well. (childish) Far away it looks better, up close it lacks a certain amount of sparkle. Is it real or paste? Then again depending on the cut of the diamonds some sparkle more than others so perhaps these have a dull finish? The bracelet looks very similar to the one...

The tie does fall very close if not actually on the waistband of the skirt. The rest of the looks is great and I hope to see it soon.

Agree. The cut is classic and flattering. It also looks very comfortable vs the blue noble dress.

I agree with you. My big thing with Kate is the claim that she is not into fashion, she hates being photographed etc. If that were the case we would not see so much McQueen, Mulberry, and other big name designers. I hope she takes on charities here soon because I think the wait has been too...

I agree. The top part is very flattering but the bow makes her appear so much bigger around the waist. Too bad as I don't mind the Christmas theme. It is quite festive. Then again she wasn't hosting the event so maybe she was going for a low-key look.

I really liked the whole look. The dress was very flattering. It's nice to know she has a tailor on stand-by for evening looks. I also think the jewelry was very nice. The few sapphires she wore complimented the color of the dress without overwhelming her...or turning her into a blue ball.

I wonder how much is true and how much is driven by a business desperate to make sells. I am not saying there is not genuine cause for concern. My feeling is about wether the media is doing its job by trying to get the truth or are they just doing it for money.

I am hoping for the Connaught. I think that is the name. Madeleine wore it at Victoria's wedding. Light and delicate enough for a pregnant lady. After all most of the attention will probably be directed towards the "bump."

Price they pay for living a public life. ;). I do think though women are judged more harshly on how they look than men are. William's suits are from Saville Row and probably cost thousands each. On the other hand suits are safe and dresses sometimes are not.

I think Victoria's is too short. ;). Her maternity wardrobe is bad well most of it. Wrong topic though.
