Are the King & Queen due to visit Chelsea today?

At Windsor, they typically sit at opposite sides of the long table, i.e. QE2 and visiting President on one side, Prince Philip and visiting First Lady (or First Dude!) on the opposite side.

I think it is the hairstyle that messes things up. I appreciate her trying on a different style, but this one so does not work with a tiara.

Pearl collier, with a sapphire and diamond clasp, earrings and a bracelet I think Victoria, Mette Marit, Mary and Mathilde could all put this demi-parure to good use...

Interesting that the King & Queen will attend the smaller event at the British cemetery, and not the larger event at Omaha Beach, where the other world leaders will be present. I presume this is because of the ongoing cancer treatment that HM is undergoing, and wanting to avoid very large crowds.

The brooch is fantastic. Wish Maxima would wear it on a plain dress or jacket in such a way that the brooch could get its due prominance.

She did, when she wore the robes and mantle. However, when she attended the 2017 service (her last, if I am not mistaken), she went in a day dress, and no robes.

I agree. Lovely as the dress may have been, I think she should have worn a gown. And a tiara!!! That said, this is a new reign, and the Queen is entitled to establish the dress ciode as she chooses.

I had thought the Cullinan V and the stones from Granny's Chips would remain on Queen Camilla's crown, good to see Cullinan V re-emerge. Might Granny's Chips also re-emerge at some stage?

That is exactly the thought I had a short while ago. I suspect it will be the GGBI for Queen Camilla, though I would be very happy to see the Greville return to duty. It has been missed!

Great look. I am a big fan of royals reusing and upcycling their gala wear, and Mary has always been very good at it. Long may that continue.
