"Royal Family" (1969) - Ground-breaking TV Doco about the Windsors

I remember watching that when it first aired on American television.

    King George VI (1895-1952)

I've also read that. I believe it was in the book "Royal Feud."

    Origin Of Royal Names

He's not technically a Royal, but Lord Nicholas Windsor's youngest son is named Louis.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte, General News Part 3: May 2016-April 2018

My guess is that Kate was the one who requested it although it is possible that Maria decided it on her own.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte, General News Part 3: May 2016-April 2018

FWIW, I think that's just the way British people speak. I remember on "Downton Abbey". Edith told her editor that she was "racing" somewhere when in actuality she was going to watch a motor race.

Queen Mary, consort of George V (1867-1953)

Oh, I watched that the other night too. You can also access it if you have a VPN. George V had a nice speaking voice.

Queen Mary, consort of George V (1867-1953)

I read a memoir of Madame Wellington Koo some years back, and she was a friend of Queen Mary. She wrote about a visit where she and Queen Mary "smoked companionably." I don't know that she was a chain smoker, but she did smoke.

"The Crown" (2016-Present) - Netflix Drama Series on Queen Elizabeth II

Also, when the former King gave his abdication speech in Episode 3, he was introduced by the radio announcer as "The Duke of Windsor." He was actually introduced as Prince Edward as he hadn't been created Duke of Windsor yet.

"Victoria" (2016-Present) - ITV Drama Series on Queen Victoria

The Harewoods, of course, are cousins of the Queen through their mother Princess Mary who was Princess Royal before Anne.

    Future York Weddings

Princess Charlotte would probably be a cute bridesmaid in a few years.

"Victoria" (2016-Present) - ITV Drama Series on Queen Victoria

Queen Mary had such an interesting life. I would love a biopic about her. I'm reading her mother's memoirs now.

Could the princes' future wives continue working?

Anne's children are not royal. And I think once you get to the grandchildren of a monarch, it probably is easier for them to find separate careers away from royal duties. But for the children and their partners, it's still probably a no go.

Could the princes' future wives continue working?

You're welcome. The problem isn't what she said, it's that she said it at all. The British royals aren't supposed to comment on politics. Getting back on topic, ITA that it would be very difficult for a potential wife of Harry's to carry on with a career.

Could the princes' future wives continue working?

The "old dear" comment was about the Queen Mother, not the Queen.

"The Other Prince William" (2015) - Channel 4 Doco on Prince William of Gloucester

I remember our newspaper (I was living in Maryland then) did a big story on him when he died, but they didn't mention anything about his love life. Later I found a biography about him in the Enoch Pratt Library.
