Ruling Family of Ajman: Al Nuaimi dynasty

Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi is married to my friends sister. My friend is Sheikh Saqar Bin Zayed Al Nahyan (cousin to the late Sheikh Zayed). This is Sheikh Humaid's wifes brother and me in his garden in Mirdiff (he married for the first time in his 50's to one of the Sharjah royal...

Yes Fares, that is the main one everyone wears. They are fantastic quality and last for forever.

Birth of HH Sheikha Aljalila: December 2, 2007

Most local babies look like that. I gave birth in UAE, spent 4 long months in Al Corniche maternity hospital due to complications and just about every local baby I saw looked like that.

    Sheikh Mohammed's Children 4: September 2007-April 2008

How do you know what I wore??? I do know the difference between an Abaya and a kandora/dishdashya. I lived in UAE long enough to know the difference especially being part of a local family. I wore both a Kandora and an Abaya when I left the house and did not find them restrictive and never saw...

Birth of HH Sheikha Aljalila: December 2, 2007

I highly doubt that pic is of the baby, just look at the tatty furniture, the style of flooring and carpets in the background, that is neither the home of a Sheikh or the style of any maternity hospital in UAE. And I have yet to see any member of the royal family share a home snapshot on the...

    Sheikh Mohammed's Children 4: September 2007-April 2008

Yes they have female ones also. I still have 5 pairs from my years in UAE. In regards to the dishdashya also known as a Kandora, I wore these (female one) all the time and it never restricted my walking one bit. Most of the mens have plenty of room and are fully able to take a full stride in...

Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum (1977- )

That may be so. Hasher was a very close and dear friend of the head of the local family I lived with (My friend Kauser and her Emirati husband were like parents to me) so if they tell me it was his "Wife" and that is what he introduced her as, then I personally am going to believe that. This...

Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum (1977- )

Yes that was who I was talking about (his father). Sorry but when I lived in UAE, it was only the main sheikhs who were of any interest to anyone. They boys were just teenagers then and had yet to make a mark on anyone let alone the western world hence the confusion on my part.

Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum (1977- )

I believe Sheikh Hasher has more than one wife. He had a farm in Al Awir Dubai near to the huge farm I lived on with an Emirati family. The head of the family knew Sheikh Hasher very well and I do know my friends second wife (who I lived with) used to always socialise with Hasher's second wife...

Sheikh Mohammed current events 2: February 2006 - June 2014

When I left UAE in 2004 as far as I know (my late partner was a very close friend of Shiekh Ahmed) Sheikh Ahmed was not married and had no children. He did have a long standing Lebanese partner although I know of lots of girls who claimed to be his girlfriend (non of which was ever true, except...

Who is the best looking al-Maktoum?

Its a matter of taste. However for most official functions they wear white and then the beautiful sheer robe (that has the gold edging like the man in my avatar)) over the top. Often in winter they choose the more colourful kandora's such as a thicker cotton or wool one in shades of brown...

Sheikha Hind current events: February 2006-

Sorry I am entering some of these threads despite them being old, but I have only just joined. I doubt you will ever see an uncovered shot of Sheikha Hind. A lot of the Emirati women (over 45) especially from some of the prominant families such as the royals, Al Shamsi etc still cover either...

That is probably so. It is only in the last few years that the UAE has become well known around the world. (I remember when I first came to live in UAE back at the begining of 1990 that no one in UK really knew where it even was let alone who were the rulers). And people now are getting to know...

Who is the best looking al-Maktoum?

Yes I agree, he is also a very very nice person when you meet him. Someone mentioned about the Al Qassimi and Al Nuaimi boys. They are very handsome and even more so up close. I had quite a few friends from both those familes when I lived in UAE and two of the younger Al Qassimi boys used to...

Princess Haya as UN WFP's Goodwill Ambassador

I agree. And a large majority of the women in UAE use hair dye that is not chemical based anyway. One of my businesses in Dubai was a Beauty Center and the only reason we advised not to dye when pregnant was that the dye sometimes did not take as well due to hormonal changed within the body.

    Hello

Hello I came across this site totally by chance and was just amazed at the interest in the Arabian Gulf Royal familes and I am guessing that is because the Gulf is now becoming well known to the western world. I lived in Dubai UAE until 2004 after 13 beautiful years living as part of the...

    Your Favourite Royal Family

I love the royal familes of the different emirates of UAE. I was fortunate enough to have friends from each of the ruling familes and my late Emirati Partner was related to the ruling families of Umm Al Quwain, Abu Dhabi and Ajman. I lived in UAE for 13 years up until 2004 and was so lucky to...
