General News & Information about Albert, Charlene & Family 5: July 2020 - Jan. 2022

I understand the princess ought not to fly with ear issues but wonder why the Monegasque yacht club does not provide a floating home for the princely family to reunite in or return from South Africa?

Dutch State Visit to Germany: 5-7 July 2021

Interesting that the choice was made to fly to Berlin...perhaps to highlight the new Brandenburg airfield that is finally open?

the important parts have already been covered in this thread; the only additional item worthy of mention is that the Prince and both children will soon travel to South Africa to be with the Princess.

Prince Philip's Former Greek Citizenship and Greek and Danish Titles

Interestingly, as former Canadian prime minister Jean Chrétien noted below, the Duke of Edinburgh did not think of himself as an Englishman: https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/controversial-candid-and-not-politically-correct-jean-chretien-reflects-on-his-time-with-prince-philip-1.5381102 The Prince...

The Duke & Duchess of Sussex and Family, News and Events 2: December 2020-March 2021

Thank you Osipi for your positive comments about the Cordon interview. I too enjoyed this light hearted escapade into the wilds of LA and appreciated the many common touches (can I use your bathroom: even Royals need to pee!) that were highlighted by Cordon. Yes, there was clever product...

Names and Godparents for Harry and Meghan's second child

One of the British dailies published the picture of H and M with the caption "What about names". The clever duchess is quoted as saying 'Sue if it is a girl and Rich if it is a boy'. There is also a caption for the prince who can feel the British press kicking madly inside the Baby bump!

Princess Eugenie, Jack Brooksbank and Family, Current Events 1: Oct 2018 - Sep 2022

If anything we would need them in Canada as our GG has resigned (an historic first!) but there is little hope for a replacement from Britain, our Prime Minister is looking at the first indigenous GG nomination.

General News about Frederik, Mary and Family Part 18: June 2020 - August 2023

Indeed lovely to see the Crown Princess quietly practicing dressage; is it the cousin who trains the Danish dressage team...Nathalie de Berleburg?

Thank you for posting; a very beautiful property indeed! How is the housing market in Denmark...will she get the price she is asking?

    Palace Noordeinde, The Hague

Thanks for posting this indeed! As a Canadian, I had never seen this sort of behaviour from bisons so I can only guess they must be missing home: we have lots of spruce here!:flowers:

    Sandringham House

The 'shop' is probably a typo for 'shot' and I have not read anywhere that the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh have received their COVID-19 vaccinations or 'jab': this seems to be the British word  Do DRF members based in the UK know the status of the Queen's 'jab'?:whistling:

Prince Henrik, the Prince Consort (1934-2018)

The English of Prince Henrik was beautifully Frenchified and a pleasure to listen to, especially since he let his sense of humour shine through his words! I believe the Danish princesses had an English speaking grandmother in the Princess Margaret of Connaught but they were also sent to British...

Prince Henrik, the Prince Consort (1934-2018)

Thank you for posting a link to the documentary about prince Henrik and to Muhler for giving an outline to what was said in Danish. It was lovely to hear the Prince speaking his native French; he did say at one point in English to Barbara Walters that Danish is a very difficult language. This...

Crown Princess Victoria & Prince Daniel, Current Events Part 2: January 2018 -

if I remember correctly, the Crown Princess is dyslexic. It is well known that handwriting is an important reinforcement to understanding what is being said so that perhaps writing notes by hand is her tool to better absorb information.

Couldn't have said it better myself! Its clearly an experiment, this new life in Montecito and it is interesting to see how this couple will deal with the cards they have been given. We have not heard the last from team Sussex, I am sure and I also wish them well. :flowers:

I add my thanks to the many others for your nisse explanations! I do love that HM Queen Margrethe is also the Queen of Nisse and makes sure that all Danes know they are an important part of the Nissesaga. Mange tak for including non-Danes in the story:flowers:

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Family, News and Events 1: September-December 2020

Thank you for sharing your story. I am sorry for your loss: no parent should have to lose a child but, as Meghan writes, it happens more often than we know because there is indeed a 'stigma' and awkwardness about dealing with death in general and miscarriage in particular. In this time when...

his prononciation is very good indeed: I imagine he had help with the 'der, die and das'; not to mention the 'dem, den and des', but what he said was very easy to follow. Bravo Hochheit!

    Queen Máxima's Daytime Fashion Part 17: June 2020 - July 2021

Au contraire, HM is making the effort to look like the women in The Netherlands. It is seriously uncool to have Kate-like hair in my tiny, wind-swept homeland, HRH Princess Beatrix was often called out for her 'helmet hair' and her daughter in law has taken this advice to heart. Brava Queen...
