Caroline de Lannoy (b.2001), one of HGD Stéphanie's nieces, is getting married tomorrow to Henry de Spoelberch (b.1999). The ceremony will take place in Frasnes-lez-Anvaing, and the King and Queen of the Belgians are expected to attend:

Caroline is a daughter of Stéphanie's eldest brother Count Jehan de Lannoy, who walked his sister down the aisle at her wedding in 2012.
 
I hope to see adorable little Prince Charles as a page in the bridal party.😊

Le mariage somptueux de Caroline de Lannoy à Frasnes a fait rêver les Anvinois

Caroline de Lannoy, fille du Comte Jehan de Lannoy s'est mariée ce samedi à Frasnes-lez-Anvaing. Son passage du château et à l'église fut très remarqué et apprécié des Anvinois qui l'attendaient sur le parvis de l'église.

The wedding celebration was inspired by the Anvaing carnival, the guests were transported in two floats such as this one.
 
The bride's gown is simple but elegant. The de Lannoy Tiara looks somehow different than it did the last time we saw it.

Anvaing Castle is perfect for a wedding reception.😊

I would love to know the name of Elisabeth's date.😉
 
When I was young , I worked for the Minister of Justice. In his staff was Count (Philppe) de Lannoy. He invited us for a drink because his first Son was born Jehan (1966). He married late to Alix della Faille who infortunately died before her youngest girl Stephanie Wedding with Heditary Grand Duke Guillaume.
So to day Jehan who is living in Anvaing Castle married his daughter Caroline to Henri de Spoelberg. Our Princess Elisabeth attend the Wedding.
The King of the Belgians never attend Nobility Weddings , we saw King Philippe only for his brother in law Wedding as Queen Mathilde is Belgian.

A pity there is no photo of the HGDss of Luxembourg. One would expect her there.

The bridal couple seems lovely and rather young to get married in this day and age. As one of the heirs of Stella Artois, the Spoelberch family is one of the big stockholders of the INBEV company. They were ennobled in the 17th century. Together with the de Mévius and Vandamme families their portflio is estimated between 14 and 25 billion EUR.

Whoa...the groom's family are billionaires? I agree that the bridal couple are rather young. It seems like yesterday that Caroline was a little girl attending Aunt Stephanie at the Grand Ducal wedding.

Maybe Stephanie deliberately kept a low profile at this wedding to keep attention on the bridal couple.

Yes, the Spoelberchs are the wealthiest noble family in Belgium alongside the de Mevius, and Van Damme families who helped in forming InterBrew which later became INBEV. They are connected to the Santo Domingo’s through the brewery industry as Tatiana’s uncle, Alejandro is on the board of INBEV.
 
According to Histroiresroyales, Archduchess Sophie of Austria attended the wedding too. She is the daughte rpf AD Georg and Dss Eilika of Oldenburg.

The groom seems to be one of the sons of Grégoire de Spoelberch and Tatania Munchen.

BTW according to Jelka van Duyse, of the blog garderobe royale, the man on Elisabeth´s arm is Rodolphe d’Yve de Bavay. He and Elisabeth both descend from senator Théodore Mosselman du Chenoy (Elisabeth via Queen Paola's grandmother).

He is from Villers-devant-Orval, in the province of Luxembourg. He is 26 y/o and works and lives in London as a strategic consultant for Amazon. Although the two know each other they are not a couple and them walking together was simple coinsidence.

A shame the press is a little bit diverting the attention to Elisbeth's chaperonne, who may just have been that: a chivalrous young man escorting her (high heels, anyone? Though Lisa has impressive skills with high heels as she once showed on National Day).

The Belgian press isn't even telling that the bride is close family of HGD Stephanie :(

Thanks for sharing! I imagined it was probably by chance that the two of them walked together, but as someone who is interested in genealogy I'm glad to know more about the young man's ancestry.
Rodolphe was born in 1998 and is the youngest of three children of Count Antoine d'Yve de Bavay (b.1960) and his wife, Baroness Nathalie de Fierlant Dormer (1961). Elisabeth and him are (if I'm not mistaken) fourth cousins once removed, as they're both descended from Belgian senator Théodore Mosselmann du Chenoy (1804-1876) and his wife Isabelle Coghen (1822-1891): Rodolphe through their daughter Isabelle, Elisabeth through their daughter Laura (who married Fulco Beniamino Ruffo di Calabria in 1877- she was then the first one to wear the family veil that Elisabeth herself will probably wear on her wedding day):

Without derailing the thread and knowing anything about the man except some facts about his family I'd say that he's very much the type I could see the Princess end up marrying - a young professional from an aristocratic Benelux background where there are still many families that maintain a modern version of an aristocratic lifestyle.

Interestingly, one of his many first cousins is Elisabeth "Sissi" Lamarche, wife of Prince Wenceslas de Nassau. So, indeed, his background is the kind which would fit very well with King Philippe and Queen Mathilde.
