Thursday evening saw the King and Queen of Sweden in Berlin, where they attended a reception at the Red City Hall to mark the beginning of the 70th Baden-Powell Fellowship event. King Carl XVI Gustaf, who is the Honorary Chairman of the World Scout Foundation, and Queen Silvia were joined by the Governing Mayor of Berlin, Michael Müller.

King Carl XVI Gustaf has returned home following a three day visit, between February 17 and 19, to Thailand to attend the Baden-Powell Followship’s event. The event was on the February 17; and the following day, the King officially launched a new scout group at a school in Pattaya for visually impaired children. Carl XVI Gustaf presented the new scouts with scout neckerchiefs, as member of several Swedish scouting organisations.
