The Countess of Wessex in Estonia, Day One

Starting Tuesday, the Countess of Wessex undertakes a two-day working visit to Estonia. The purpose of her trip is to visit the 5th Battalion The Rifles, a regiment Sophie is Royal Colonel of. Swedish Royal Couple in Berlin For Scouting Event

Thursday evening saw the King and Queen of Sweden in Berlin, where they attended a reception at the Red City Hall to mark the beginning of the 70th Baden-Powell Fellowship event. King Carl XVI Gustaf, who is the Honorary Chairman of the World Scout Foundation, and Queen Silvia were joined by the Governing Mayor of Berlin, Michael Müller.

Duchess of Cambridge Helps Mark Centenary of Cub Scouts

This evening in Kings Lynn, the Duchess of Cambridge attended a special Cub Scout pack meeting to help celebrate 100 years of Cubs. First Patronages Announced for Duchess of Cambridge

Honorary Doctorate for Princess Benedikte

HRH Princess Benedikte, the Princess of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, has recently completed an official visit to South Korea, which begun early last week. On Wednesday September 9th, Princess Benedikte was awarded an honorary doctorate in literature from the Seoul Women’s University at a ceremony presided over by the University’s president, Rhee Kwang-ja. King Carl XVI Gustaf in Thailand

King Carl XVI Gustaf has returned home following a three day visit, between February 17 and 19, to Thailand to attend the Baden-Powell Followship’s event. The event was on the February 17; and the following day, the King officially launched a new scout group at a school in Pattaya for visually impaired children. Carl XVI Gustaf presented the new scouts with scout neckerchiefs, as member of several Swedish scouting organisations.
