Albert and Charlène Attend St Dévote’s Day

Prince Albert and Princess Charlène attended the St Dévote’s Day celebrations in Monaco. The royal couple attended a church service and then walked the streets of Monaco to greet people who gathered, they took time to talk and shake hands with a few. Prince Albert II attended the annual Sainte-Dévote Celebrations in Monaco on Saturday, January 26th. The feast of Sainte-Dévote has a long tradition of devotion with the Monégasques Princely Family. His Serene Highness Prince Albert II attended Monaco’s annual Sainte-Dévote events on January 26 and 27, 2009. Saint Dévote, Monaco’s patron Saint and special protector of the Sovereign Family was born in the 4th Century in Corsica. When she died, her body was ordered burned by the Romans to prevent veneration.
