Queen Elizabeth II has appointed her grandson, Prince Harry, a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Buckingham Palace announced this afternoon. The presentation took place privately at Buckingham Palace today. On her seventh wedding anniversary, the Duchess of Cornwall has been made a Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order by Queen Elizabeth II. HM Queen Elizabeth II today knighted former Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, Don McKinnon, as Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order in recognition of his 2000-2008 (two terms) “outstanding” service as Secretary-General.
