The security team of Berlin’s Bode Museum is in for some sleepless nights, as a Canadian coin worth £3.2m was stolen from an exhibition in the early hours of Monday morning. Today the Royal Mint revealed the coin they have minted to mark Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday. The £5 commemorative coin features a garland of nine roses (one for each of the Queen’s decades) surrounding the royal cypher ‘EIIR’ and the number 90.
