Concert Time: A Queen, A Princess and A Duchess Enjoy Music Performances

Queen Mathilde of the Belgians had two special guests with her for this evening’s performance of finalists in the Queen Elisabeth Music Competition: the Duchess of Gloucester and Princess Sarvath Al Hassan of Jordan. The trio of royal ladies watched the cello performances of two finalists for this year’s prize, the first for cellists, Maciej Kulakowski and Seungmin Kang, who were both accompanied by the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra.

Royal Runners All Round On Fourth Day of Ascot

It wasn’t just The Queen who had a horse running today. The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall had Carntop running in the King Edward VII Stakes. A short interview with the trainer Ralph Beckett revealed that Charles and Camilla are both very passionate about their horses and their training. Princess Sarvath El Hassan of Jordan, née Sarvath Ikramullah, celebrated her 65th birthday on 24 July 2012. The parents of the Princess are Mohammed Ikramullah and Begum Shaista Suhrawardy Ikramullah. She has an older brother, Inam, and 2 older sisters Naz and Salma. Prince Hassan receives the Bayreuth Prize

On November 18th, 2010 Prince Hassan was honoured by the German city of Bayreuth with the Wilhelmine von Bayreuth Prize.
