Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg Is Expecting Her First Child

Just before the end of the year the The Grand Ducal Palace announced some wonderful news. Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg is pregnant. The only daughter of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa is due in the spring. Earlier this year the princess married Mr. Nicolas Bagory in France.

Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg (32) has married Nicolas Bagory (33) this saturday. The only daughter of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg married for a second time in a religious ceremony in Bormes-les-Mimosas, France. National Day Celebrated in Luxembourg

Following yesterday’s evening events to kick-off National Day, the main events were held today in Luxembourg to mark the occasion. First up was a ceremony at the Salle de concerts Grande-Duchesse Josephine-Charlotte in which awards and honours were presented to citizens of merit. The two-day celebrations of Luxembourg’s National Day began today, with visits to Troisvierges and Esch-sur-Alzette by the Grand Ducal and Hereditary Grand Ducal Couples. Grand Duchess Maria Theresa usually attends this event, however she is still recovering from knee surgery.
