Henrik Joins Mum Marie For Christmas Concert

Six-year-old Prince Henrik of Denmark joined his mother tonight for the annual Adventure Theatre Christmas concert at the Glass House in Tivoli. Princess Marie Is Joined By Her Family At Tønder Festival

Princess Marie was accompanied by her husband, Prince Joachim, and their children to the Tonder Festival this afternoon. kongehuset.dk had announced that Princess Marie would be attending the event with no other royals mentioned. The royals were joined by family friends and their children. The Princess has been patron of the Tønder Festival since 2009. Tønder Festival is a folk music festival which takes place in August.

Not So Little Anymore! Prince Henrik Starts Primary School

Joachim, Marie and Children Visit Aalborg Zoo

Prince Joachim and Princess Marie took their two children, Prince Henrik and Princess Athena, to Aalborg Zoo today to help celebrate the zoo’s 80th anniversary. The family were accompanied by the director of the zoo, Henrik Vester Johansen, and the Mayor of Aalborg, Thomas Kastrup Larsen, for their visit, which included a show at the Zoofari Scene, where animals the zoo trains demonstrate their skills. Prince Henrik Starts School In August

Prince Joachim and Princess Marie’s son will start school in August 2015 it has been announced today. The Prince, who will turn 6 years old in May, will attend the Sct. Joseph Sisters School in Ordrup. Prince Henrik is Joachim’s 3rd child and Princess Marie’s first child. He was born on May 4, 2009.

Christmas Family Gathering At Fredensborg

Queen Margrethe II of Denmark invited her extended family for Christmas in Denmark this year, for the first large Christmas gathering since 2006. Forty-plus members of the Danish, Greek and Berleburg royal families spent several days at Fredensborg Palace. Danes On Winter Vacation in Switzerland

Both Princes Frederik and Joachim, and their families, spent the week in Verbier and Villars-Sur-Ollons respectively. New Danish Painting Unveiled

A new painting of the Danish Royal Family was unveiled last week, ahead of its display at Amalienborg. Thomas Kluge, a Danish artist who has previously painted portraits of members of the family on numerous occasions, was the man commissioned to create the portrait. Photos of Denmark’s Little Princess Released

The Danish Royal Court has published the long-awaited photographs of Denmark’s newest royal – the infant daughter of Prince Joachim and Princess Marie. The series of photographs, taken at Schackenborg Palace by Steen Brogaard, feature the little princess with her parents and older brothers, Princes Nikolai, Felix and Henrik. The infant was born on January 24th, and will be christened on May 20th.

Today was the christening of Prince Henrik Carl Joachim Alain, the son of Prince Joachim and Princess Marie in Møgeltønder. Presentation of the Newborn Prince

It’s a Boy for Princess Marie!

It has been announced today that Princess Marie has given birth to a boy at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen. The baby was born at 4.57 a.m. local time, weighed 3032 grams, and measured 49 cm in length. Congratulations to Princess Marie and family! For more information, please see this thread.
