The infant was born today, July 1st, at 13:32, Dutch time, at the Bronovo Hospital in The Hague. He has been named Willem Jan Johannes Pieter Floris, to be called Willem Jan. The Dutch Royal Court announced yesterday that Prince Floris, youngest son of Princess Margriet and Professor Pieter van Vollenhoven, and his wife, Aimée, are expecting their third child. Princess Aimée is expected to give birth in mid-July. Floris and Aimée were married in 2005, and have two daughters: Magali, born in 2007, and Eliane, born in 2009.
