Danish Royals mark Greenland’s New Self-Government Laws

Members of the Danish Royal Family are currently in the Arctic nation of Greenland, where they marked the geographically large, populous small country’s new self-rule. Queen Margrethe II, Prince Henrik and Crown Princess Mary arrived on Friday June 19th, and were joined by Crown Prince Frederik on June 20th. Busy Week For Queen Beatrix…

Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands had a busy week with a lot of public engagements. On wednesday HM visited the RIVM (National Institute for Health and Environment) in Bilthoven, on the occasion of it’s 100th anniversary. New Year’s Waka Poetry Reading Ceremony

On 15 January the annual New Year’s waka poetry reading ceremony (utakai hajime) took place at the Imperial Palace in the presence of Emperor Akihito, Empress Michiko, Crown Prince Naruhito, and other members of the Imperial family.
