Windsor Castle and Palace of Holyroodhouse To Get £37Million Renovations

A £37million renovation project will see numerous works undertaken at Windsor Castle in Berkshire and the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh. The funding comes entirely from the Royal Collection Trust. £27million will be spent on Windsor Castle, which will boast a new visitors centre and a learning centre for schoolchildren once the renovations are completed at the end of 2018. Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip Begin Holyrood Week

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh have begun their annual week-long stay at the Palace of Holyroodhouse today, with the traditional Ceremony of the Keys taking place in the Palace’s forecourt.
