Today, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of The Netherlands opened the Emma Children’s Hospital in Amsterdam. During the opening of the renewed hospital, King Willem-Alexander took a tour of the new hospital, spent time with the children and their families and joined them for some cake. Today, Tuesday September 15, the Dutch Royal Family celebrated the traditional opening of the Parliament, Prinsjesdag. Japanese WWII Surrender Commemorated in the Netherlands

Dutch King Willem-Alexander today attended a service at the Indian Monument in The Hague, to commemorate the seventieth anniversary of Japan’s surrender in World War Two. King Willem-Alexander Cycles With 1,500 Cyclists

Today marks the 50th Drenthe 4Days of Cycling anniversary and they got a special guest to celebrate with them, the Dutch King Willem-Alexander. King Willem-Alexander joined the 1,500 participants in Assen. Before the start of cycling route, the Dutch King registered like all other participants. The event was joined by people of all ages.

King Willem-Alexander Opens New Building at the Nieuwe Baarnsche School

Earlier today, the King of the Netherlands returned to his old primary school, the Nieuwe Baarnsche School, to open a new building. Arriving at the school in Baarn, King  Willem-Alexander was greeted by a number of the school’s pupils and staff.
