Infante Henrique, Duke of Coimbra Dies Aged 67

The youngest brother of the head of the House of Bragança, Infante Henrique, Duke of Coimbra has passed away on February 14 at the age of 67. Infante Henrique had suffered from cancer for some time. Dom Duarte Parties With Monarchists

Dom Duarte, Duke of Bragança and head of the Portuguese royal family attended a neighbourhood party in the Santo António neighbourhood of Lisbon on June 3rd. On this day in 1886 Crown Prince Carlos of Portugal married Princess Amélie of France, member of the house of Orléans, in a ceremony in Lisbon. Two years earlier Amélie’s aunt played matchmaker for the couple.
