The youngest member of the Van Vollenhoven family, Eliane, was christened yesterday, March 28th, at the Chapel of Het Loo Palace. There was quite the Orange turnout for the christening, with all members of Queen Beatrix and Princess Margriet’s families present (except for Princess Catharina-Amalia, Princess Laurentien, Isabella and Pieter van Vollenhoven). The Dutch Royal Family has grown today, with Princess Aimée giving birth to her second child. Aimée and husband Prince Floris welcomed their second daughter at 14:50 local time. The newborn weighed in at a healthy 4050 grams (8.9 pounds), and was named Eliane Sophia Carolina.
