Count Christian Laid To Rest
The late Count Christian of Rosenborg was today laid to rest following a private funeral service at the Lyngby Church in Lyngby. Amongst the mourners were Queen Margrethe II, Prince Henrik, Princess Marie, Princess Benedikte, and Princess Astrid of Norway. The group were greeted at the church doors by the Count’s three daughters, Countesses Josephine, Camilla and Feodora. Count Christian of Rosenborg, a first cousin of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, died in his sleep in the late hours of May 21st. The 70-year-old Count, who was born a Prince of Denmark as the youngest son of Hereditary Prince Knud, passed away just before midnight at the Gentofte Hospital with his family by his side.
