February 5th, 2018 marked the 200th anniversary of Jean-Baptiste Bernadotte took the Swedish throne as Carl XIV Johan (and the Norwegian throne as Carl III Johan). A seminar was held at the Royal Palace in Stockholm, called ‘The Bernadotte Dynasty: 200 Years on the Swedish Throne’, that was attended by 300 guests, including King Carl XVI Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel. Count Björn Bernadotte weds Sandra Angerer on Mainau Island

Count Björn Bernadotte af Wisborg married his girlfriend of five years, Swiss-born Sandra Angerer, yesterday in a religious ceremony on his family’s estate on the island of Mainau, which sits in the middle of Germany’s Lake Constance.
