Funeral of Princess Alix of Luxembourg, Dowager Princess de Ligne
On February 16, the funeral of Princess Alix of Luxembourg, Dowager Princess de Ligne took place at the Saint-Pierre Church in Beloiel, Belgium. Princess Alix had passed away on 11 February at the age of 89 and leaves behind seven children, twenty grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, though one of her grandchildren, Prince Pedro of Brazil, was killed in a plane crash in 2006. The Luxembourg Grand Ducal Family was out in force on Friday in Sandhurst, England where they were present at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst for the passing out ceremony of Prince Wenceslas of Nassau and Archduke Alexander of Austria.
