On Wednesday, Princess Marie of Denmark unveiled a new portrait of herself painted by artist Mikael Melbye. Mr Melbye, who was knighted by Queen Margrethe in 1996 and then given a peerage in 2006, has painted portraits of several other members of the Royal Family, including the Queen, Prince Henrik, Prince Christian and Prince Joachim.

The former equestrian Princess is the recipient of the School’s Prix de l’École d’Équitation Espagnole de Vienne for 2017.
