The Imperial Household Agency issued a statement on Tuesday announcing that the wedding of Princess Mako of Akishino and Kei Komuro has been postponed “until at least 2020”. “Lack of preparation” was cited by an IHA spokesperson, Takaharu Kaji, as the reason for the postponement – Princess Mako and Mr Komuro had been scheduled to become formally engaged on March 4th, with their wedding ceremony to take place in November.
