Countess of Wessex Announces Upcoming Visit to Isle of Wight; Presents an Award to Top Chef

Sophie Rhys-Jones, the Countess of Wessex, will visit the Isle of Wight in early July, according to an article in the County Press Online. Her visit will be short, but very busy.

The Countess will visit St. Catherine’s school, where she will meet students who are in the speech therapy, learning, and training sessions offered by the school. She will also have the opportunity to see and learn about the innovations that St. Catherine’s has made in the field of speech-communication therapy.

She will then head to Haseley Manor, where she will observe the cadet and badger training for the St. John Ambulance volunteers. Her day will end with a tea, where she will be the guest of honor.

In the meantime, the Countess of Wessex attended the Craft Guild of Chefs Awards, where she presented the award to the winner. The event, which is known as the “catering world’s Oscars”, according to the Hounslow Chronicle, featured 60 of the UK’s best cooks. The winner, Sam Rowles of Hounslow, was delighted not only with the award, but also with the opportunity to meet the Countess.
