British Royals Attend Festival of Remembrance and Remembrance Sunday Service at the Cenotaph

This weekend was marked by the ceremonies of Remembrance Day for the British Royal Family.
On Saturday evening, November 11, King Charles, Queen Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Princess Royal and Tim Lawrence, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, attended the Festival of Remembrance at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
The Remembrance Festival is hosted by Royal British Legion and dedicated to “all those that have served and sacrificed from Britain and the Commonwealth”.
Prior to the Festival, the King and the Queen unveiled statues of the late Queen Elizabeth II and the late Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. The statues were commissioned by The Royal Albert Hall on the occasion of their 150th anniversary celebrations.
On Sunday morning, November 12, members of the royal family attended the annual Remembrance commemorative service at the Cenotaph in Whitehall, London.
The King led the laying wreath ceremony of red poppies at the base of the Cenotaph followed by the Prince of Wales, the Earl of Wessex and the Princess Royal. It was laid a wreath also on the Queen’s behalf by Her Majesty’s equerry.
The Queen, the Princess of Wales, the Countess of Wessex, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester attended the service from the balcony of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office building.
