Crown Prince Haakon Visits Germany

Crown Prince Haakon arrived in Munich for a four day visit to several German cities on Monday. Today he continued his visit in Hamburg and tomorrow he will finish it in Berlin. The goal is to help to strengthen the close and good relations and close business cooperation between Norway and Germany.

On Monday there was an evening reception in the Residenz Palace in Munich. The crown prince commented on defence coorporation between the two countries. The event was attended by many officials, including Prince Ludwig of Bavaria, his wife Sophie Alexandra and by Fürstin Gloria of Thurn und Taxis.

In Hamburg the crown prince visited the chamber of commerce. Later in the day the prince took the high speed train to Berlin. Tomorrow he will meet president Steinmeier and chancellor Scholtz.
