Albert and Charlene Attend Rugby Finals in Paris

This Saturday Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene attended the Rugby World Cup Final match between New Zealand and South Africa at Stade de France in Paris. The Prince and Princess of Monaco were in the Stade de France in Paris to cheer on to cheer on the team from Princess Charlene’s home country, South Africa.

The princess is an avid sports fan and former Olympic swimmer. She was so excited by the win that it led to a public embrace and kiss with her husband. The Prince and Princess were seated next to French president Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte.

It was the couple’s second appearance at the World Cup tournament. A week earlier they were present when South Africa beat England in a semi-final match. After the win the Princess visited the team in their locker room to celebrate the victory. Following that visit, South Africa’s Minister of Sport, Arts & Culture, Mr. Zizi Kodwa, announced that the ministry was in the process of formalizing a partnership with the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation to support swimming education and water safety awareness in the country.
