Princess Leonor Receives Saber

A month after arriving at the General Military Academy of Zaragoza, Princess Leonor has received her saber during a military ceremony in Zaragoza.

The heiress to the Spanish throne started her training at the military academy last month. The saber symbolizes the ideals of honor, courage and loyalty which the recruits will be learning.

The second-year classmates have handed over their weapons to the first-year students, thus staging their relationship of camaraderie and guardianship.
