Royal Surprise: Prince and Princess of Wales Visit Soho

The prince and princess of Wales surprised onlookers with their surprise visit to the London underground and to a London pub.

The couple hopped on the Elizabeth Line from Acton Main Line station to Tottenham Court Road, the nearest stop in the Soho entertainment district. They spoke to trasport workers and enquired after their plans for the upcoming coronation weekend. In the Dog and Duck pub -founded in 1734 and one of the oldest pubs in the area- the prince pulled the first-ever pint of Kingmaker, a pale ale brewed to celebrate the coronation.

The couple spoke to representatives of the hospitality industry. The princess of Wales revealed that her eldest son, Prince George was excited about the ceremony after taking part in rehearsals.

William, like his son George, will have an active role in the coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey.
