Last Day in South Africa for King Philippe and Queen Mathilde

Today, Sunday March 26, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde started the fourth and last day in South Africa by visiting Philippi Village, a township in Cape Town.
The King and the Queen were welcomed in Philippi Village by singing and dancing children that are involved in a theatre project of the township.
Then the Royal Couple paid a visit to the headquarter of Close the Gap, “an international social enterprise that aims to bridge the digital divide by offering high-quality, pre-owned IT devices donated by European companies to educational, medical and social projects in developing and emerging countries”.
Afterwards the King and the Queen visited a football pitch that was recently opened thanks to the help of the Belgian Chamber of Commerce for Southern Africa. The King also kicked off a local youth football match and putted the finishing touches to a murales near the pitch.
At lunchtime the Royal Couple had lunch in a Belgian restaurant.
The visit ended at Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, an important botanical garden located at the eastern foot of Table Mountain in Cape Town. In 2004 the garden was declared UNESCO World Heritage Site.
