The Prince in his speech stated “I’m incredibly sad to be giving this speech, as it really does mean my time as your Colonel has come to an end. It has been one of the great honours of my life to hold that title”.
Following the ceremony the Prince and the Princess attended a reception with the soldiers of the Irish Guard and their families.
The Princess wore a teal coat dress by Catherine Walker with matching pumps, clutch gloves, a Jane Taylor hat and a gold shamrock brooch.
