Belgian Royals celebrates The King’s Feast
Today, Tuesday November 15, the Belgian Royal Family has celebrated The King’s Feast. Since 1886, celebrations take place in honour of the Belgian Monarch.
King Albert, Queen Paola, Princess Astrid, Prince Lorenz, Prince Laurent and Princess Claire attended a Te Deum service at the Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula in Brussels.
King Philippe and Queen Mathilde didn’t attend the service as protocol decrees because it would be inappropriate for the Monarch to honour himself.
Following the service, the Belgia Royals attended an event held at the Parliament and toured the exhibition “Make Art not War” that shows photos taken during the Ukrainian war by the photographer Max Levin who died during thr conflict.
November 15 is the name day of Leopold and Albert. In 1951 King Bauduin decided to honor November 15, as did his brother King Albert II.
