The Dutch State Visit to Greece Ends in Thessaloniki

Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima started the third and last day of the state visit to Greece today, Wednesday November 2, by visiting Thessaloniki, the second largest city of the country.
Upon the arrival in the city the Royal Couple went to the Labattoir culture area to attend an economic session focused on sustainability and agriculture.
Then the King and the Queen were officially welcomed by Konstantinos Zervas, mayor of Thessaloniki, at Aristotelous Square. The mayor informed the Royal Couple about the progress made by the city to become sustainable and liveable and then they cycle from the square to the White Tower monument. 
Afterwards the King and the Queen toured the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Dimitrios, the Roman Agora, the Ottoman Bey Hamam.
The last event of the state visit was at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the largest university in Greece, where King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima attended an event entitled “Business University: Greek-Dutch cooperation”. The event, organized by the Dutch embassy, aims to promote the “the cooperation of the two countries in the field of innovation and education for entrepreneurship in the European context”.
