Norwegian Royals Celebrate National Day
Today, Tuesday May 17, the Royal Family celebrated Norway’s National Day.
The celebrations started in the morning when, Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus, attended the children’s parade outside their private Skaugum estate. Their dogs, Molly Fiskebolle and Milly Kakao, were present as well.
Later the Crown Prince Couple, Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus joined King Harald, Queen Sonja on the balcony of the Royal Palace in Oslo to watch the children’s parade. This year 130 schools participated in the parade.
Norway National Day is celebrated to mark the signing of the Constitution of Norway happened on this day in 1814.
