Belgian King and Queen Visit the Province of Namur
Today, Wednesday March 30, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde paid a visit to the Province of Namur.
The first stop was in the municipality of Ciney where the Royal Couple paid a visit to the Provincial School of Agronomy and Sciences. This school provides secondary technical and vocational education in the fields of agriculture, horticulture, environment and agro-equipment.
During the visit the King and the Queen took part in a round table meeting focused on the agricultural profession of tomorrow at the presence of former pupils, current students and parents. They also toured the school’s labs.
Afterwards the Royal Couple moved to Place Monceu, a big square in Ciney, where they met with the inhabitants.
Then, in the village of Anseremme, the King and the Queen embarked on a boat trip with the cruise company Compagnie des Croisières Mosanes heading to the municipality of Hastière where they paid a visit to the Castle of Freÿr. There the King and the Queen were welcomed by the Governor of Namur, Denis Mathen and the Mayor Claude Bultot. They toured the castle and met with the inhabitants.
