Swedish Royals Attend 2021 Nobel Prize Awards
On Friday December 10, King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel attended the 2021 Nobel Prize awards in a ceremony held in the Blue Hall of the Stockholm City Hall. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the winners of this year received the medals and diplomas in their countries of origin over this week.
During the event, at the presence of the Nobel Committee, the Royal Family and about 300 guests, was paid a tribute to the Nobel Prize winners.
This year’s winners were: in Physics to Syukuro Manabe, Klaus Hasselmann and Giorgio Parisi; in Chemistry to Benjamin List and David W.C. MacMillan; in Medicine to David Julius and Ardem Patapoutian; in Literature to Abdulrazak Gurnah and the Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences to David Card, Joshua D. Angrist and Guido W. Imbens.
