Dutch Princess Catharina-Amalia Turns Eighteen

Today, December 7, Her Royal Highness Princess Catharina-Amalia, Princess of Orange, turns 18. The Princess was born on December 7, 2003 in The Hague and she is the first child of Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima.
Last June the Princess graduated cum laude from Christelijk Gymnasium Sorghvliet high school and she is currently on a gap year.
Tomorrow, December 8, Princess Catharina-Amalia will be installed to the Council of State in a ceremony held in the ball room of Kneuterdijk Palace at the presence of the King, Chairman of the Council, the Queen and the vice-chairman, Mr. Thom de Graaf.
On this occasion, the King has given to the Princess her own personal standard flag.King Willem-Alexander also appointed the Princess a Knight Grand Cross in the Order of the Netherlands Lion and a Knight in the House Order of the Golden Lion of Nassau by Royal Decree.
To mark this special birthday the Dutch Royal Court released some beautiful photos of the Princess.
