Presentation of the Charlemagne Prize & Audiences

Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria-Teresa attended the International Charlemagne Prize ceremony at the Hotel de Ville of Aix-la-Chapelle, which was presented to Dr. Andrea Riccardi, historian and founder of the Community of Sant’Egidio.

The Grand Duke also received this week in audience the Secretary-General of NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, HE Mr. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, during his official visit to Luxembourg.

Note: In case anybody has been wondering where the blog entries on the Grand-Ducal family have gone, I’m placing the shorter ones like these two together at the end of the week, as the Cour Grand-Ducale website sometimes does not provide sufficient information for one complete blog entry.
