Last Day in Germany for the Dutch King and Queen
Ahead of their summer holidays in Greece, today, Friday July 16, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima, along with their three daughters, Princesses Catharina-Amalia, Alexia and Ariane, posed in the garden of Huis ten Bosch Palace.
Due to the Coronavirus outbreak the reporters had to keep their distance from one another.
The King and Queen and their daughters posed near the pond for the photos in different combinations, not only all the family together but also individual portrait, the three princesses photographed together and the King and Queen also posed together.
During the photo shoot the Royal couple spoke briefly to the press gathered for the event.
Addressing the media present for the event, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima remembered crime journalist Peter R. de Vries, killed after being shot in an attack. The Royal Couple called him “a special person”. Talking about their daughters the King and the Queen said that their middle daughter, Princess Alexia, next month will travel to Wales where she will complete her secondary studies at the UWC Atlantic College. It is the same college attended by the King in 1983.
On the contrary Princess Catharina-Amalia, who recently got her high school diploma and was planning a gap year abroad, is still uncertain about the gap year due to the evolution of the pandemic.
