Today, Thursday June 10, Her Royal Highness Princess Catharina-Amalia graduated cum laude from Christelijk Gymnasium Sorghvliet high school after passing her final exams. The announcement came from the Princess herself who shared photos and a video on the official website and instagram account of the Dutch Royal Court.
In the photos and video the Princess, eldest daughter of Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima, was hoisting the Dutch flag with her school bag attached to it as tradition in the Netherlands.
Princess Amalia also shared a message saying: “I just got a call with the news that I passed! I would like to congratulate all other graduates and wish other students good luck with any possible resits and the second period”.
The Princess, who will turn eighteen next December 7, seems interested in taking a gap year after high school. On Koningsdag 2021, last April, she said: “I want to travel a bit, discover the world, do things that I might not be able to do in 20 years”. Congratulations!
