Princess Charlotte of Cambridge turns five in new photos

Kensington Palace has released a series of photos of Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, who turned 5 on May 2.

The photos showed the adorable young royal delivering homemade pasta to local residents who are vulnerable to Coronavirus. The COVID-19 crisis has also meant that Princess Charlotte has had to celebrate her birthday on the video calling app Zoom, as many other people celebrating “lockdown birthdays” around the world have done.

The initiative to help local residence was started by palace staff, who have been preparing and delivering meals since lockdown began in mid March. The Cambridges are said to be keen bakers and have been helping with the meal preperations.

A local resident said “they got drenched as it was pouring with the rain but I think they just wanted to do their bit”, as she exclaimed that the locals were surprised to see the family.

Princess Charlotte was born on 2 May 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital in London, England. She is the second child and only daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who have two other children, Prince George (b. 2013) and Prince Louis (b. 2018). Charlotte was christened as Charlotte Elizabeth Diana at St. Mary Magdelene Church in the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk and started her education at the Willcocks Nursery School, though is due to join her brother Prince George at St. Thomas’s in Battersea this September.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share four new photographs of Princess Charlotte ahead of her fifth birthday tomorrow.
