Cambridges enjoy football match
On October 5, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their two oldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, were spotted in the audience at the football match between Aston Villa and Norwich.
The Duke of Cambridge has been a long-time supporter of Aston Villa and fan of football, and attended his first Aston Villa game in 2000. His oldest child, Prince George, seems to have inherited his father’s love of the sport as he was seen cheering on Aston Villa and jumping for joy as they won 5-1. The young royal was also seen in an England shirt in his sixth birthday photos back in July.
The Duke is also president of the Royal Football Association, and has Tweeted personally from Kensington Palace’s Twitter account during the Champion League’s semi-final this spring.
Aston Villa’s manager, Dean Smith, said “‘I’ll be getting them tickets for every game now if they need tickets because, you know, we got the result today” and the Twitter account of the football team posted a photo of the Cambridges enjoying the game.
