Lady Louise comes third in carriage riding contest

On May 8, despite the rainy weather, Lady Louise Windsor participated in a carriage driving competition at the second day of the Royal Windsor Horse Show.

Fifteen year-old Louise has inherited the royal love for horse riding and has inherited her grandfather’s love for carriage driving. She drove the carriages at the Laurent-Perrier Meet during the Windsor Horse Show in 2017.

It is the 76th year of the Royal Windsor Horse Show, which is a five day long event that showcases a range of horse riding competitions. The show started out as a fundraising event for the war effort in 1943 and the Queen has attended it every year since with her family.

Lady Louise’s mother, the Countess of Wessex, was seen beaming as she chatted to other spectators which included the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, whilst watching her daughter in the competition.
