On May 7, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge opened the King’s Cup Regatta at the Cutty Sark in Greenwich. The regatta will be hosted on August 9 by the Cambridges on the Isle of Wight.

The King’s Cup was first presented by King George V in 1920 at Cowes’ Royal Yacht Squadron. Eight boats will be participating in this year’s regatta and will be representing the charities the Cambridges are patron of.

When asked about the Duke of Sussex’s baby, who was born on May 6, William said that he “welcomes Harry into the sleep deprivation society that is parenting” and also said that he was “absolutely thrilled” upon hearing the news of his nephew’s birth.

Kate said “it’s such a special time, obviously with Louis and Charlotte just having had their birthdays, it’s such a great time of year to have a baby” before adding “spring is in the air”.
