Queen Máxima Launches National Money Week

Today, Monday March 25, Her Majesty Queen Maxima opened the ninth edition of the Week of Money.
The event took place in the Rat Verlegh Stadium in Breda in the presence of Arie Slob, Minister for Primary and Secondary Education and Media and primary school students.
The theme of year’s edition is “Are you a hero with your money?”
During this week, about 5,500 lectures and workshops in primary schools through Netherlands will take place. The Platform Wiser Money Matters aims to prepare primary school students for financial independence in the future.
After the official opening the Queen met with representatives from the municipality of Breda, football club NAC Breda and students from NACADEMY to talk about dealing with money.
Money Week 2019 started today and will last till March 29. It is an initiative of Platform Wiser Money Matters, organized by the Ministry of Finance. Since 2010, Queen Máxima is Honorary Chairman of the Platform Wiser Money Matters.
