Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at the BAFTAs

On February 10, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were guests of honour at the BAFTA award ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The Duchess of Cambridge rubbed shoulders with Olivia Colman, who won the Best Actress award for her portrayal of Queen Anne in The Favourite and co-star Rachel Weisz, who won Best Supporting Actress in the same film.

Rami Malek was given the Best Actor award for his role as Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody. Netflix original Roma won Best Film and Best Director, whilst A Star Is Born won Best Original Music.

The Duke of Cambridge is president of the BAFTAs, which was formed in April 1947. The Duke of Edinburgh was appointed as the organisation’s first royal president in 1959.
