Duke and Duchess of Sussex at Royal Variety Performance
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended 2018’s Royal Variety Performance at the London Palladium on November 19.
The Duke and Duchess met with performers before watching the show in the Palladium, including boyband Take That and the cast of Hamilton, which the couple have already seen twice together. Meghan, who is currently pregnant with her first child, was greeted by seven-year-old Darcie-Rae Moyse, who presented her with a bouquet of flowers.
This is the second time the Duke has attended the Royal Variety Performance, the first being in 2015. Comedian Greg Davies hosted the event, which was first started in 1912 after it was agreed by George V and his wife Queen Mary that a performance should take place at the Palace Theatre in honour of the Variety Artistes’ Benevolent Fund.
The show raises money for entertainers who are ill, elderly or in need of additional support.
